در آن زمان به دلیل آنكه اتریش به تحقیق در مورد سیاست شهرك سازی رژیم صهیونیستی رای موافق داد، سفیر این كشور به وزارت امورخارجه این رژیم احضار شد.

آویگدور لیبرمن وزیر خارجه راست‌گرای رژیم صهیونیستی اعلام كرده است كه این رژیم از ورود نمایندگان و افراد مرتبط با شورای حقوق بشر سازمان ملل به فلسطین اشغالی خودداری می كند.

شورای حقوق بشر سازمان ملل در سال 2009 كمیسیون تحقیقی برای بررسی نقض حقوق بشر در غزه توسط رژیم صهیونیستی تشكیل داد و این كمیسیون در گزارش خود تاكید كرد كه اسراییل مرتكب جنایت جنگی شده است.

حدود یك ماه پیش نیز جمع زیادی از اتریشی ها و فعالان حقوق بشر در این كشور در وین علیه رژیم صهیونیستی تظاهرات كردند.
